Yes I blind buy this due to its hype and i never regret it at all. This means, like Terre de Hermes, it will appeal to less people and is not crowd pleasing. If this lasted longer, it would easily be an A+ for me, based on scent alone. I found it very unique but strange scent. It's very masculine (because of the pepper) yet fresh, smooth, classy. I think it smells more expensive than the pricetag shows and better than some of the more expensive scents i have. Perhaps good for people in college or at their first job, if they buy it at a discount. My girlfriend thought it smelled like grape cough syrup... That being said, I do enjoy its freshness and spiciness, although the pepperiness almost comes off curry like. Top notes are Neroli, Bergamot, Black Pepper and Petitgrain; middle notes are Black Pepper, Lavender, Cardamom, Juniper Berries and Sage; base notes are Vetiver, Oakmoss, Agarwood (Oud), iris and Leather. It's a very versatile fragrance even though it's great around spring and summer.Yes it is true, Icon has some reminiscence of Terre D'Hermes because of pepper but to me it's much more better and sophisticated. The blends are back using the same exact blends and tobaccos, coming from the same factory. 9/10. The flask is quite unforgetable as the juice in there. This deserves all the praise. The first vibe of smell almost knock me off my feet, so sophisticated and elegant. This is a perfume that is as well blended as it is packaged. I was shocked at how ordinary this smelled as I was expecting something magical to go with the bottle. Minute markers around the outer rim. Dunhill's Icon fragrance is sublimely beautiful. Wow, so different & addictive. Upon first spray, I was not blown away. Longevity and silage are average. Best of all, no assembly is required. I gave it to my grandad awhile back just because he wanted something new and when I went over his house recently I smelled again and I realized I had to have this again. this is just a definition of a mature scent. I sincerely don't recomend buying it by the fact that it does not last more than short 4 hours. I love it all the way from the stunning bottle, through first sniff all the way to the drydown. However i must mention the performance on current bottle i have ,is poor . Light airy pleasant neroli smell. WOW - AS ALWAYS! I just happen to smell some of it on myself. I find it to be very much a "cologne" type scent along the lines of 4711 and acua di parma. This scent is so unique. Nuff said. This is a stunning fragrance, a Masterpiece. That's the positive! For all of the P&C Faithful who were concerned that Dunhill tobaccos had disappeared forever - good news! I try not to use this juice just not to finish the flask! That’s an absolute steal for this. That was five hours ago and it's still going strong. The bottle is a work of art. Not a lot of sillage, becomes a skin scent very quickly, and that's okay. Best Dunhill frangrance by far!It reminds me of Terre D´hermmes. This thing is simply amazing for it's price as an everyday wear for work, yes it is not unique, but the neroli, spices and citruses smell amazing, the performance is good too, I'd say it's quite uplifting and makes me feel happier in a certain way. The black pepper takes a brief moment, but it joins the opening notes with its piquant, earthy, and spicy notes, which enhance and boost the opening. Think of a refined englishman sitting in the seat of a restored 1970s Mercedes sedan on an overcast winter evening. It’s another in the endless and unimaginative scents that belong to the ‘citrus overload with floral and wood notes base notes’ brigade. I'll try my best. icon is a a good surprise from the modern era of fragrance, it beats many others in terms of smelling and price-quality ratio. This is a great fragrance with a conservative price! This for me is bottle worthy. Icon has a nice fresh opening, I like it a lot. This fragrance can be warm in any season and is extremely versatile. It has a good longevity, this is an eau de parfum, not toilette. 6.5/10. I smell the grape soda for only about 2-3 minutes. The opening to dry down is absolutely lovely. This sweet, fresh accord gives way to a spicy cardamon/pepper/lavender mid. I love the bottle, very heavy, very elegant. Overall, Icon is just okay for me. The bottle was enough to raise the interest, it is glorious, heavy, stylish and one you'd want on display. ... and sometimes navy does. I can smell the petitgrain, neroli and pepper at first, somewhat like a fanta grape soda, not fruitier but a blend of florals, spice and fruits. While it's hard to detect the leather, vetiver, and oud accords individually, they combine to give a darker, woody, slightly ashy dry-down in contrast to the bright, fresh neroli. The gold dusted branches create a festive glittery look. I enjoy wearing it. If you reside in an EU member state besides UK, import VAT on this purchase is not recoverable. This starts smelling like some artificially flavoured juice I used to drink as a kid (Neroli and bergamot). Perfume lovers: 615653 By the time I get to the base, which is about 4hrs, it's barely there. Further into the dry down I understand the TdH comparison but it's faint. It reminds me Terre D'Hermes Parfum, less creamy, but more sharp and cooler neroli-juniper-vetiver combo. The oud, leather, oakmoss are support and projecting accords; they add a woody and slightly smoky note.
