Conference “Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Euro Area”

• The European Central Bank, together with the MIT, would like to invite interested students and academics to live watch the joint conference “Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Euro Area”, on 13-14 March 2017.
• Webcast of the Conference: “Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Euro Area” jointly organised by the European Central Bank and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Frankfurt on 13 and 14 March 2017
• Technological innovation and entrepreneurship are critical engines of economic growth, which in recent decades has been disappointing in the euro area in general, and in some countries in particular.
  Addressing this challenge is therefore a key priority in the structural reforms agenda.
  The conference aims to identify and help diagnosing elements that may be currently hindering faster technological innovation and Total Factor Productivity-driven growth in the euro area and to contribute to the current debate about the root causes of and possible solutions to the weak performance in terms of growth and productivity in particular in the European Union.
